Sad News

I saw the consultant at Maidstone Hospital yesterday.

Unfortunately the treatment with Ofatumumab has done no more than slow down the growth of the cancer. As it is only a trial drug they can offer no more treatment with it and the consultant told me that the future looked bleak, possibly I have no more than a couple of months.

To say I feel gutted and devestated is an understatement.

My Dearest Andy,
You will be in a state of shock right now - i remember only to well how my mother and i felt when she was given the very same news. In the next few days you will find strength - surround yourself with loved ones.
You are in my thoughts
Much love, Jayne X

Andy, Andy, Andy - I'm stuck for words here. I just can't imagine how you must be feeling now. I can imagine how I might feel - I think - but that's not the same. I know others are saying to surround yourself with loved ones but me, I would have to be on my own until I had it straight in my mind and THEN face my public. I wouldn't be able to deal with their grief AND my own both together.

However you deal with it there are plenty of us rooting for you and thinking of you. I'm just sorry you have to go through this.

love, Angie, xx

andy, i'm new to your blog, came by way of 'call 4 support'.
wanted you to know that many people, even those you've never heard of, are praying for you. we're hoping for a miracle, but if not, at least that you find strength & remain comfortable. your online friends (old & new) are here for you. we are only a mouse click away.
if you have loved ones close, let them share this time with you, if you have loved ones far awy, let them know too. they love you & will help give you some type of peace.
God bless you, sending up a prayer & lighting a candle for you.

Andy, don't give up on yourself... the news is bleak, but don't take it as it sounds.... My grandfather had cancer, they gave him 6 months, and he lived a GOOD life, a life WORTH LIVING, for at another 5-6 years. Anything is possible, WILL to live.

I'm saying prayers for you.

I like what Joann shared. Will to live! I don't know if you ever saw the show "A-Team" but there was a gentleman, Dirk Benedict that faced off to cancer. He was given a bleak assessment too but proved them all wrong. I also concur with the others to surround yourself with love from family and friends. I'm pray God will give you peace and strength, and heal you.

Andy, I am so sorry that you have been given this awful prognosis but I have known people be told the same sort of news, yet have lived years, rather than months. Please keep a positive attitude, live every day as if it is your last, as we all should do because who knows if we will ever see midnight.Do what you want and be with people you want to be with and we'll all pray for a miracle for you.

Love from Linda x.

I am truly sorry for you.
Those words don't feel adequate.
Know that your God is by your side every step of the way and you won't make the journey alone.
Sending hugs and prayers
